Three Weeks Down

Today is the end of my third week of treatment.

I think it’s gone reasonably well so far, considering what I was led to expect.

I’ve not experienced any of the tiredness that everyone warned me about. The treatment is “cumulative” which means that any side effects can become more severe the longer it goes on. So it’s entirely possible that I will start to notice some tiredness before too long. But friends also tell me they know people who’ve been through this without getting tired. So who knows?

The diarreah I was warned about started towards the end of the second week but it’s been quite minor so far and certainly no inconvenience. In fact, it’s been little more than needing to “go” twice early in the morning rather than the usual once. That’s been manageable and hopefully it won’t get any worse.

This weekend I’m hoping to go to a junk sale with a good friend, hopefully to find a couple of bargains to add to my collection or possibly buy some cheap tools. Then I’m planning to spend the rest of the time in the garden, mowing the lawn and tidying up, and working in my shed on one of my collection.

I’m almost halfway through.

Day Fifteen
