And Then There Were Two
My wife came with me to the treatment centre for the first time today. She lives overseas but we spend as much time together as possible. She was able to come through to the treatment area although she had to wait outside while I was receiving the radiotherapy.
After the treatment we had a meeting with a counsellor from the Penny Brohn charity who explained some of the holistic and complementary therapies available to me. I was fairly dubious beforehand but it sounded interesting and I think there are some things that we’d like to do as a result.
The counsellor asked us how we felt about the cancer. Although I know how concerned my wife is, and she’s been through this with me of course, I think it was good for her to speak with someone who wasn’t closely involved.
